In Windows 10 specifically there is a short cut for and advanced snipping tool. To access it press the following key combination.
WIN + SHIFT + S
You will see this toolbar at the top of your screen.
Once this is on screen Click and Drag to select the area you would like to snip.
This is automatically saved to your clipboard and you can paste it into Emails, Slack, Tickets, etc.
